For several years I taught filmmaking at various schools all over New York City, including SVA, the New York Film Academy, and LAGCC, while at the same time working as freelance editor and director. Editing is my passion, however, and I have now decided to pursue a career as an editor on a full time basis.

I have edited several short films, food TV, instructional videos, promos, app videos, web things, etc, for such clients as Baked Brooklyn, TIAA-Cref, Mario Batali, The Food Network, Heineken, and ABC Television.

I have so far assistant edited on two feature films and a TV special, but I learned so much on each project that I’m keen to do more.

I’m comfortable on Avid Media Composer, FCP 6, 7, and X, and Premiere Pro. I have a lot of experience with the Avid workflow for Arri Alexa, and Canon Cine Cameras, not to mention DSLRs and even old timey stuff involving tapes. I love to learn about new editing technology, though, so staying current is practically my hobby. I can troubleshoot most Apple editing system problems, and I’m pretty sure I can fix your Mac, or at least tell you why it’s broken. You will probably never need to see me use Microsoft Word, but I am an absolute wizard at it.

I have an MFA from NYU’s Grad Film Program, and a BA from Sarah Lawrence College. I am learning to play the guitar. I live in Brooklyn.
