About

I teach filmmaking, both theory and practice, at several colleges and programs throughout the NYC area. I also work as a freelance editor, director, writer, and producer. I have an MFA from NYU’s Grad Film Program. I make features, shorts, and web content. Lately I’ve been doing a lot of video content for iPhone apps.

Here’s my official bio:
Joshua received his MFA from NYU’s Graduate Film Program. Since completing his coursework, Joshua has been working as a freelance writer, director, producer, and editor for such clients as Mario Batali, The Food Network, Heineken, Punkhouse.org, and ABC Television. He recently won a writing grant from the Sloan Foundation for his feature script, “Maude and the Measure of Love.”

Joshua studied philosophy at Sarah Lawrence College and Oxford, and has dreamed of making films since he was 13 years old, when he used his parents’ video camera to make James Bond films, Bud Light commercials, and sequels to Nightmare on Elm Street. His films are always entertaining and surprising, reflecting a world-view that is at once thoughtful, ecstatic, warm, and bizarre.
